Blog by parents of murdered Israeli teenager censored as 'hate site' in the UK

11 July 2017 Update: Following a lot of interest in this article and the subsequent one posted by the Roths, Symantec have dropped the hate classification for their blog and also for Elder of Ziyon. However, the 'hate' classification for this site and the others mentioned below remains.

I have previously posted about how pro-Israel blogs in the UK (and elsewhere including even in Israel) are censored or blocked completely by internet service providers.

After discovering that his own site was blocked by Sky-UK, Elder of Ziyon discovered that this was due to Symantec classifying his site as "Hate". He noted (as I had previously reported) that other pro-Israel sites such as Israellycool, Israel Matzav and Abu Yehuda all get the same "Hate" classification. Most internet service providers (including Sky, Virgin, and EE) use the Symantec classification and normally either block such sites or require 'parental unlocking' to view them.

Using the symantec link I checked a number of other pro-Israel sites (including this one http://edgar1981.blogspot.co.uk/) and found that they too were classified as "Hate". Included inevitably were pamelageller,  jihadwatch  and thereligionofpeace, as well as the outstanding sultanknish.

But what shocked me was that the "Hate" classification was also assigned to This Ongoing War.  This is the moving blog dedicated to the memory of 15-year-old Malki Roth who was murdered in the 2001 Hamas massacre in Jerusalem’s Sbarro restaurant that was engineered by Ahlam Tamimi. Malki's parents Frima and Arnold have campaigned for Tamimi - who is on the FBI's most-wanted terrorist list - to be brought to justice (she is currently living in luxury, inciting more terrorism, under the protection of the Jordanian government who have refused a US extradition request). While it is shameful that all of the above sites are classified as hate sites, it is especially pernicious in this case, as it demonstrates the extent to which the antisemites who masquerade as  'Palestine supporters' in the UK will go to prevent the truth being heard and justice being done.

Inevitably none of the anti-Israel sites, most of which are dripping with overt antisemitism, are classified as hate sites. Hence https://bdsmovement.net/ and http://www.brightonpsc.org/ are classified simply as "Politics", while http://mondoweiss.net/ is classified as "shopping, blogging", and most bizarrely one of the leading provider of blood libels https://www.palestinecampaign.org/ is actually classified as a "Law site".  We know it is the antisemitic 'Palestine supporters' in the UK who are behind the campaign to censor all pro-Israel sites. As evidence that these 'Palestine supporters' are not actually concerned about 'hate' (but are simply driven by hate of the Jewish state), I noticed that the most aggressively anti-Muslim website that I  know of  - http://www.barnhardt.biz/ - is classified simply as "religion. This is because it never discusses Israel at all and so doesn't come under the radar of the antisemites.

For the record it is also worth noting that most of the sites will not be blocked outside of the UK because the classification changes when the "uk" suffix is changed to another country.  For example the Israel version of this site http://edgar1981.blogspot.co.il/ is classified as "Dynamic, Blogger, English".

UPDATE: Symantec have sent me all round the houses, first through a FaceBook messenger conversation when they finally said they were not qualified to help and told me to contact their regular support desk which has no email address. I called the UK number (which unlike the US one is not free) and was passed from person to person eventually being put through to the mobile number of someone who 'should be able to help'. No answer, left message, no response so far. Also it seems Symantec have a long history with this sort of behaviour - they were doing the same thing to other types of sites that did not fit the politically correct (meaning extreme leftist) narrative.

Jewish Voice: the group trying to silence Tommy Robinson is yet another socialist anti-Israel front claiming it is 'pro-Israel', 'pro-peace'

In the face of an Islamist terror campaign and a wave of antisemitism (much of it from the extreme left) yet another group claiming to speak for British Jews has declared that the real threat to Britain and its Jews is ....Tommy Robinson. Here is their twitter statement of 27 June:

On their twitter page yesterday they announced they were 'launching a social media campaign to fight Tommy Robinson' which included the lie that 'Tommy Robinson is no friend of the Jews'. Tommy himself responded with this:

I'm not going to repeat here why Jewish Voice (and much of the main stream media) are so completely wrong about Tommy Robinson - you can see the links or just read what Brian John Thomas wrote about Tommy's trip to Israel last year.  My focus here is to expose who Jewish Voice are and why it is they who are a danger to British Jews.

Their mission statement ("About us") says

A group of people brought together by the Jeremy Corbyn movement for leadership of the Labour party has united to develop a Jewish community project to give a voice to socialist and progressive Jewish values.

They go on to say

..we feel that it is important to give voice to the alternative, socialist view from our community.

but as with most 'socialists' they do not feel that others have the same right to a voice or viewpoint that is different from theirs. Hence, their campaign to silence critics of Islam. Indeed, based on their twitter page their mission statement seems to have changed to 'fighting Islamophobia':

And, inevitably, they also support the BDS campaign to boycott Israel even though their two co-founders Yonatan Higgsmith and Moshe Ariel claim to be 'pro-Israel' as well as 'pro-Palestinian'. 

In fact, like those other 'pro-Israel, pro-Palestine' leftist organisations Yachad and JStreet, everything they do and say with respect to Israel actually involves its deligitimization while ignoring Palestinian terrorism. But Jewish Voice seem to have more in common with the openly anti-Zionist (and some would argue antisemitic) 'Jewish Voice for Peace'.

To get a feel for why they are a danger for British Jews take a look at this video of Moshe Ariel on the BBC. In a segment about the boycott Israel campaign he was on - literally - as the "Jewish voice". Except .... he actually says he supports the boycott (but only disagrees with some of the campus tactics used):

(incidentally this is a standard BBC tactic when discussing Israel; they typically have a panel of hostile speakers that is 'balanced' by a Jewish or Israeli speaker who also just happens to be either highly critical of Israel or an open anti-Zionist).  

And if that isn't bad enough check out this article on the J Voice website by Ariel after the heinous terrorist attack in Jerusalem in January in which a 'Palestinian' ISIS supporter continually ran over and killed 4 young cadets (including three young girls). Ariel argued that this was not an act of terrorism:

"Arguing that it is not terrorism may be controversial, but it shouldn’t be. ....Acts of violence in Israel/Palestine, are very different to similar acts of violence carried out in Europe and the United States. Palestinian violence and the subsequent Israeli response is a result of the occupation"

Moshe Ariel is a student at Sheffield University - so anybody who is a student there there needs to be aware of his agenda.

Like Ariel, Yonatan Higgsmith also claims to be a "Palestinianist" who is also a "Zionist"  citing the fact that his views are really not much different to the Meretz party in Israel. But, he also states his loyalty to Jeremy Corbyn and his commitment to Corbyn's statement on Palestine which, while making ludicrous demands on Israel, fails to call out Palestinian terrorism and incitement. It is important to note that Higgsmith is active with Limmud the mainstream Jewish organisation that claims it is 'dedicated to Jewish learning' but which increasingly pushes a hard-left, anti-Zionist message to naive, ill-informed participants at their events.

It is not clear whether 'Jewish Voice' is much more than just Ariel and Higgsmith, but they do have 10,500 twitter followers. And, as is evidenced from Ariel's BBC appearance, being critical of Israel in the UK always provides them a platform and respect denied to others.

The Neturei Karta: not Jews in any real sense

As anybody who has ever witnessed an anti-Israel demonstration (such as the Al Quds march last Sunday) will know Neturei Karta are the 'Jews' who are the obligatory stars always placed at the front. They provide the ideal cover for the other demonstrators to spew as much antisemitic hatred as they wish.  Some people have argued that they cannot possibly be 'real' Jews because they not only call for the destruction of the State of Israel, but also praise terrorists who murder Jewish children. But what people are less aware of is that even their 'ultra-orthadox Judiasm' (which is the entire basis for the antisemites to revere them as 'true Jews') is actually something of a scam. Evidence of this is their attendance at demonstrations that take place on Shabbat. As I reported here I witnessed them a few years back at one such demo at Trafalgar Square. Moreover, they were carrying banners. When I had the opportunity at a subsequent demo, I asked their leader how this was consistent with their claim of Torah observance. He gave a truly remarkable response. He said they were allowed to carry banners in ‘that special place’ on Shabbat. I was not aware that Trafalgar Square had some special dispensation for breaching Shabbat.


Moreover, Richard Millett has reported on their attendance at an anti-Israel conference on a Saturday morning in London (another breach of Shabbat that no orthodox Jew would consider):

This induced a rant .. from Rabbi Yisroel Dovid Weiss of the Neturei Karta. Farcically, Weiss refused to use the microphone as it was Shabbat although he was freely producing business cards from his satchel.

I therefore do not believe these guys are real Jews in any sense. They are a bunch of publicity-seeking, Iranian funded, frauds.

East London Police ignore death threats made by Muslim extremists against Muslims who vote

With the UK election on Thursday and the ongoing news of police failure to take threats from Muslim extremists seriously (leading to the terrorist attacks we have seen) I reproduce a highly relevant post below from just before the 2010 UK election. The friend wrote two formal letters to the Police about it and never got any reply. He says this Madrassa is more active than ever (some recent photos outside it are provided).

Muslim Threats in East London

A friend of mine was handed this leaflet (click to enlarge) by a young man in traditional Muslim dress outside a mosque/madrassa in the Mile End Road near Stepney Green station.

The leaflet states that the crime of “Shirk” (when Muslims dishonour Allah) is “the worst crime that anybody can commit” … and states that it is worse than “rape and murder”.

Hence, what makes this leaflet so threatening is the text printed in bold near the bottom, which warns Muslims against voting in the forthcoming elections; it says

“voting in the elections (manmade law system) is a form of shirk and will negate ones islam”.

Since the Koran mandates that the crime of Shirk is punishable by death according to the most eminent Muslim scholars this is clearly a death threat against Muslims who dare vote.

My friend has passed the leaflet on to the local Police. Since it contains a telephone number and email address there is not really much excuse for them not to follow up on this. But then again, since the Police have been infiltrated by an Islamist/Khomaneist grouping I would not hold out too much hope.

Walking through Central London this afternoon (just off Oxford Street) I head loud screams of Allah Akbar. Just outside the Maroush Lebanese restaurant I saw a lot of police and two Arabic looking guys being arrested. Here is one on the floor. He was screaming Allah Akbar when he wasn't threatening violence and cursing the police:
