In fact, all in, this week has been one of the worst on record for the West's fight against Islamafascism:
- The banning of Geert Wilders (see good material here and here on this) is bad enough but what makes it worse has been the UK media's narrative on this - simply accepting without question the Islamic view that Wilders is some kind of fascist nutter and blindly accepting the ludicrous charges he faces in Holland for racial incitement as evidence of this.
- Note that while Wilders is banned Qaradawi (and many other Islamic fanatics) are still welcome to spew their hatred in the UK. This week Qaradawi treated us to a wonderful sermon in which he not only praised Hitler for the holocaust (while, of course also claiming that is was exagerated) but also dreamed of the Muslims finishing the job with him personally 'martyring himself' while killing Jews. Remember this is the guy Ken Livingstone hugged and said was a great force for progress. It appears that the law that everyone thought was intended to stop Islamic fanatics coming to the UK to preach is actually being used for the opposite effect: to stop people exposing the Islamic fanatics. More on this whole issue of double-standards here.
- A British foreign office diplomat screams anti-Israel and anti-semitic abuse, yet the media (with very minor exceptions) completely ignores the story. Can you imagine the outcry if a diplomat had screamed anti-Muslim abuse?
- And of course for especially serious long-term concern there was President Hussain Obama cravenly on his knees to both Syrian and Iran.
