Labour and antisemitism: you couldn't make this up

About that 'award' given to the Jewish Labour Movement .....

The Jewish Chronicle reports on this. What the JC don't tell you much about of course is who Del Singh really was. I blogged about Del Singh when he was killed in 2014. The Jewish Labour Movement must have known about him. So why did they accept the award in his name in the first place?
Del Singh: friend of Islamic terrorists in Gaza - killed by Islamic terrorists in Kabul
It is also important to note that the Palestine Solidarity Campaign - of which Singh was a prominent member - is not just an anti-Israel organisation but also a blatantly antisemitic one as proved by David Collier

Following my earlier post, this summarises what the key Labour party members are now saying:

Understanding the Labour Party policy on antisemitism

Following the first day of today's Labour Party conference their policy on antisemitism can easily be summarised:

Today's events included:
  • calls to expel the 'Jewish Labour Movement' from the party (for refusing to accept that Israel was 'like the Nazis')
  • Jewish writer David Collier banned from attending a meeting of the new Jewish labour group JVL (a group that seeks the destruction of Israel) for being too Jewish for them
  • multiple instances of antisemitism dressed up as 'anti-Zionism', with the worst proponents stating there was no such thing as antisemitism in the party

Nothing special about Naz Zhah - plenty more antisemites like her in the Labour Party

Naz Shah should consider herself unlucky because she was stupid enough not to remove the most blatantly antisemitic of her Facebook postings once she became a 'public figure'.

There are many others in the Labour Party whose views are identical to hers but who have been a bit more careful; they restrict their public displays of antisemitism to simply spewing blood libels against the Jewish State and denying it the right to defend itself against terrorists, while supporting those same terrorists. The party leader Jeremy Corbyn is one such person, although like Ken Livingstone and Gerald Kaufman he has at least come in for some genuine scrutiny. But why have so many others avoided it? In particular, it seems almost every Muslim Labour MP shares the exact same views as Naz Shah, so maybe their ethnicity puts them 'out of bounds' under the ludicrous assumption that 'minorities cannot possibly be racist'.

I therefore present a just a small sample of other antisemitic Labour MPs:
As I said in a previous post about the newly elected female Muslim NUS President, no matter how well educated and secular they are, it seems many immigrants (and their children) from Muslim countries can NEVER shake off their sense of Islamic supremacism and most of all their antisemitism. It is in their bones.

There are many more, but I will leave it up to our leaders at the Board of Deputies and CST to do the work  (yes that was a joke - the BoD and CST are much more likely to be providing support for the above MPs in 'combating Islamophobia). To date only a handful of bloggers (such as Richard Millett) have been highlighting the views of these people.

Update: Plenty of politicians have defended Naz Shah's antisemitism and not just Labour ones like Ken Livingstone and Rupa Huq. And what a surprise - they include Baroness Warsi.

Why are people surprised that Naz Shah is an antisemite - it did not need a Facebook investigation to find this out

So yet another Labour MP Naz Shah is exposed today as a vicious antisemite based on the above Facebook messages she posted (and incidentally she is one of 11 MPs appointed to investigate antisemitsm!). But why are people are surprised? Her views are no different to the Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn and, indeed, no different to the Labour mayoral candidate Sadiq Khan (who will almost certainly be elected, and whose well documented history of vicious antisemitic Israel hatred has been ignored by Britain's 'official' Jews who now bow down to him). In fact, a couple of months ago I posted the following about Naz Shah on Facebook when discussing the London mayoral election (in which Khan's has taken all of George Galloway's natural support):
However, much he has tried to cover it up in the last year, Khan's record on issues that matter to Muslims is pretty much the same as Galloway. So Khan made Galloway irrelevant in this election. Labour pulled the same trick successfully in the 2015 election by having candidate Naz Shah against Galloway. Naz Shah easily won, but that's mainly because her views on Israel are identical to Galloway's so she was assured the Muslim vote in preference to him. It was Naz Shah incidentally who recently stated that no Israelis have ever been killed by Palestinians throwing rocks. http://www.breitbart.com/london/2016/01/13/british-politician-claims-rock-throwing-palestinians-neither-killed-or-injured-israeli-children/
I also noted Naz Shah's views on Israel after last year's election. and Ben Judah has for a long time reported about her and Bradford politics. If you are able to delve deeply enough you will find the same antisemitic Israel-hating views in every 'progressive' Muslim politician. We just saw it with the newly elected NUS President Malia Bouattia. And it is not restricted to left-wing politicos. The most perfect example of all is 'Conservative' peer Baroness Warsi. As I said in my last post, no matter how well educated and secular they are, it seems many immigrants (and their children) from Muslim countries can NEVER shake off their sense of Islamic supremacism and most of all their antisemitism. It is in their bones.

And now expect the standard game to be played out as follows:
  1. Politician X is discovered to have made multiple antisemitic statements, supported terrorism against Israel and called for the destruction of the Jewish state.
  2. X says these statements do not represent their real views and/or were taken our of context.
  3. X says that he/she is a fierce anti-racist who loves Jews but disagrees with the policies of Zionists.
  4. Media and other politicians claim that X is being smeared by a Zionist campaign of hatred.
  5. Board of Deputies issues a statement expressing concern, but follows it up by saying they now accept that X is in no way antisemitic and they look forward to a series of meetings with X, during which they will apologise for ever suggesting X was in any way antisemitic.
  6. X is promoted and appointed to chair a committee on antisemitism, and also becomes a much-loved media personality.

Hilary Benn the supreme hypocrite: Britain has right to defend itself from terrorists but Israel does not

Many people are praising Labour Party MP Hilary Benn for his "Churchillian" speech supporting the bombing of ISIS in Syria. Describing ISIS as 'fascists' he said:
"Can we really stand aside and refuse to act fully in our self-defence against those who are planning these attacks?"
Well, apparently while he demands the UK bomb Islamic terrorists in  a country over 2000 miles away in order to avoid hypothetical future attacks, he does not believe a certain other country has a right to defend itself from Islamic terrorists on its border - even while those terrorists are launching hundreds of rockets that are reaching 50% of that country's civilian population.

Indeed this would be the very same Hilary Benn who delivered the most vicious condemnation of Israel last summer when Israel finally responded to defend itself from multiple unprovoked Hamas rocket attacks.

Here is what he said (it is difficult to imagine a more sided, anti-Israel statement and all the claims in the first paragraph were subsequently proven to be lies - the schools and power station were hit by Hamas rockets misfiring - with no mention at all of the millions of Israeli civilians having to live in shelters for 4 weeks ):
The scenes we have witnessed have been appalling. The ground invasion of Gaza by Israeli troops was wrong and has only led to even more suffering. 1,800 people there have been killed, 450,000 people have been forced to leave their homes, the fuel supply for the power station has been bombed and the UN has warned that the health service is on the point of collapse. The citizens of Gaza did not know where it was safe to go, and the shelling of the UN-run schools where people were sheltering on 30 July and 3 August was an outrage. The UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon called these attacks reprehensible, unjustifiable and criminal. I agree, and there must now be a full investigation so that those responsible can be held to account.

... As the Labour leader Ed Miliband said “The escalation of violence engulfing Gaza has led, and continues to lead, to suffering and destruction on an appalling scale, and is losing Israel friends in the international community day by day.....the Prime Minister is wrong not to have opposed Israel’s incursion into Gaza. And his silence on the killing of hundreds of innocent Palestinian civilians will be inexplicable to people across Britain and internationally. “

From the start, the UN Security Council rightly and consistently demanded an immediate and unconditional humanitarian ceasefire, with a complete cessation of violence so as to bring an end to the unacceptable killing of large numbers of Palestinian civilians, including children, and to the rocket attacks into Israel which have targeted and killed civilians there. Like many MPs, I urged the Foreign Secretary to do all he could to achieve a ceasefire, but I share the deep concern that has been expressed about the failure of the British government to condemn the scale of Palestinian suffering as a result of the Israeli military incursion.

On UK arms exports to Israel, I have also raised this with the Foreign Secretary. It is clear that no new licences should be granted where there is any doubt about the end use of military equipment and the Government must urgently publish its review into existing UK export licences to Israel. We must be sure that the UK rules on arms exports, which prevent the export of military and dual use equipment which could be used for internal repression, the abuse of human rights or to provoke or prolong armed conflicts, are being applied fully.

Turning to the longer term, while the terrible murder of the teenagers - three Israelis and one Palestinian - was the immediate cause of this crisis, we know that the real problem is the blockade of Gaza, the continued building of illegal settlements by Israel on occupied land, and no progress at all on the peace process. I have seen for myself how the restrictions on movement in and out of Gaza affect the lives of the people there. The blockade must end with the lifting of restrictions as part of an agreement between the two sides.
And here is a reminder of the difference between ISIS and the terrorists that Israel faces on all sides:

The variety of policies that were offered by UK political parties

I was going to post this before the election yesterday, but given the euphoria expressed by so many Conservative supporters I think it is just as important now to note the 'differences' in a range of key policy beliefs:

This also goes some way to explain how much of the socialist narrative has become institutionalised and hence why the entire media and political class try so desperately to deligitimize UKIP.  While there are still a small number of genuine 'conservatives' in the Conservative party, anybody who still thinks that David Cameron is a conservative in any meaningful sense of the word should note that it is because of him that most of the ticks in their column above are there. And for those who have managed to delude themselves into thinking he is a strong supporter of Israel, please remember it is Cameron who made the anti-Israel bigot Baroness Warsi such a key member of his team and it was Cameron who established his 'pro-Muslim' credentials by bragging:
‘Unlike a lot of politicians from Britain who visit Israel, when I went I did stand in occupied East Jerusalem and actually referred to it as ‘occupied East Jerusalem,’ he says. ‘The Foreign Office bod who was with me said most ministers don’t dare say [that].’
Some have highlighted the fact that the Labour Party had promised to criminalise criticism of Islam (by making it a hate crime) as a reason to be thankful they did not get in. But it was the Conservatives who promised exactly such a new law several weeks before Milliband did.

Of course there are many things to be happy about in the election results, notably the removal of anti-Israel bigots George Galloway (although his replacement Naz Shah has similar views on Israel), David Ward, and many other LibDems, as well as Labour's Michael Connarty). The defeat of Simon Hughes is especially gratifying since he is a more influential anti-Israel bigot than the others. But there are new MPs who are equally vicious bigots (check out Rupa Huq the new Labour MP for Ealing Central). And we now have 56 members from the SNP party - that is the party which banned all Israeli books from libraries in one of the councils under its control.

Which British Political Party is the most anti-semitic?

Update: The range of views offered by British political parties

In response to claims before the European elections in 2014 that Jewish voters must not vote for UKIP since it was 'antisemitic' I produced a summary of the extent to which antisemitism is rampant in all the main stream parties (and note that I consider anti-Zionism as an example of antisemitism) awarding a number of Arafats (rather than stars) to each (where in the spirit of Debbie Schlussel, 5 Arafats is the worse possible). Here is an update of that summary. (Further Update: UK Pro-jihad Muslim group boasts: “negotiating with Tory & Labour leadership”and note that Baroness Warsi is part of the gig).

The Labour Party
"due to pressure that had been placed on the courts by .. Jewish friends who own newspapers and TV channels". He added: "My case became more critical because I went to Gaza to support Palestinians", something that these Jews "opposed".
Over a third of its MPs in Parliament (i.e. with real power unlike UKIP) are committed to the total destruction of Israel and actively push for a total boycott of Israel to achieve this aim. These MPs include the likes of:
  • Paul Flynn who accused Britain's first Jewish ambassador to Israel of having 'divided loyalties';
  • Martin Linton,  who spoke about the "long tentacles of Israel" reaching into British politics;
  • Gerald Kaufman who stated that "Just as Lord Ashcroft owns most of the Conservative Party, right-wing Jewish millionaires own the rest," and said "Here we are, the Jews again" when pro-Israel MP Louise Ellman rose to speak in the Commons;
  • Jeremy Corbyn, Sadiq Khan, and Andy Slaughter (the latter who even holds the position of Shadow Justice Minister) who not only campaign obsessively for the destruction of Israel, but have a long history of support for Hamas and other Palestinian terrorists, and they have all shared platforms with members of terrorist organisations, and notorious anti-Semitic, homophobic Islamists.
  • Former Foreign Minister Jack Straw who claimed that "Unlimited Jewish funds control US policy, and block Mideast peace" while also demanding respect and sympathy for the aspirations of the Islamic Republic of Iran
  • Shabana Mahmood who in 2014 led a fanatical mob of anti-Israel demonstrators who forced the closure of a Sainsbury's store in Birmingham for selling Israeli produce.
  • John Prescott who in 2014 compared Israel to Nazi Germany.
The above is just the tip of the iceberg. The Labour Party has hundreds of elected local councillors and thousands of grass-root members whose antisemitism is channelled into their obsessive hatred of Israel and their belief in an international Zionist conspiracy.

The Conservative Party
The ambivalent, and at times openly hostile attitude of the Cameron government to Israel has been extensively catalogued on this blog (where I have argued it is the most anti-Israel government since Ted Heath - another conservative antisemite - was PM in 1973). This includes:
  • Taking the lead in the EU initiative to boycott Israeli goods from the "occupied territories"
  • Selling arms to just about every despotic Arab state yet maintaining an arms embargo against Israel.
  • Taking the unprecedented steps of expelling Israeli diplomats from the UK 'in retaliation' for the death of a Hamas terrorist in Dubai that was never proved to have any Israeli involvement.
  • Threatening to break off all diplomatic relations with Israel because Israel had the audacity to issue planning permits for building new homes in its capital city.
  • Taking the lead in condemning Israel for defending itself against terrorist attacks. Cameron also voiced the most bitter and irrational condemnation of any world leader after the Gaza Turkish flotilla fiasco.
  • Taking the lead in vicious condemnation of Israel for daring to build anywhere in its 'settlements'
  • The appointment of William Hague - the most anti-Israel Foreign Secretary in living memory; a man seemingly obsessed with Israeli 'aggression' and 'settlements', since he was rarely heard to speak about anything else.
  • Massively increased funding for the 'Palestinians' which has been proven to have been widely used to directly fund terrorism and antisemitic incitement; requests to investigate this funding have been continually ignored (the standard response I have received from politicians is that withdrawing this funding will lead to increased terrorism!)
  • Britain taking the lead in the EU in 'lawfare' against Israelis and Israeli owned businesses. Leading Israeli politicians (including even Tzippi Livni) and military leaders continue to be stopped from entering the country for fear of arrest under the 'Universal Jurisdiction' law that has been applied only to Israelis on trumped up charges by the antisemites of the Palestine Solidarity Committee. Cameron promised he would stop this happening but, despite claims that the law has been changed, it has failed to make any difference.
  • A number of trials in which the defendants who have admitted to physical attacks and destruction of Israeli owned businesses have been found not guilty and even been praised by judges for their heroic activism. (Update: see amie's comment below about the Government having no power over judges, but note that not a single Conservative MP has publicly expressed any condemnation of this and indeed there have now been numerous cases where violent 'anti-Israel' demonstrators have been let off on the basis of being merely 'political protesters').
  • The introduction of policing policies which enabled anti-Israel 'demonstrators' in 2010, 2012 and 2014 to run riot in the streets of London attacking what they believed were Jewish owned businesses as well as Jewish counter demonstrators without fear of arrest (in fact the policy was instead to focus police manpower on confining the smaller numbers of peaceful pro-Israel demonstrators);
  • The introduction of policing policies which enable anti-Israel 'demonstrators' to violently disrupt every public event (without fear of arrest or prosecution) in which an Israeli appears
  • An environment of such increased hostility to Israel in all walks of life that the campaign to boycott and deligitimize Israel and to equate Israel with apartheid are more firmly in the main stream than any other country in Europe.
  • The appointment of the anti-Israel Muslim supremacist Baroness Warsi to multiple positions of authority, which has resulted in many negative ramifications for Britain's Jewish community.
  • The banning from the UK of American bloggers for being 'too pro-Israel' and hence 'likely to antagonise Muslims'. At the same time antisemitic Muslim hate preachers are allowed in all the time.
  • The introduction of laws on 'hate speech' that have been primarily used to silence the voices of those who highlight the dangers of Islamic terrorism. In April 2015 they even promised that 'Islamaphobic attacks' (the bulk of which appear to be comments and articles on the web complaining about Islamic terrorists) will become a specific 'hate crime' under new legislation if they are re-elected.
  • The refusal to replace - or even reprimand - the openly Hamas supporting Consul-General in Jerusalem Alastair McPhail (Britain's highest ranking official in the Middle East).
Remember also that Cameron - before he was elected - actually tried to establish his 'pro-Muslim' credentials by bragging:
‘Unlike a lot of politicians from Britain who visit Israel, when I went I did stand in occupied East Jerusalem and actually referred to it as ‘occupied East Jerusalem,’ he says. ‘The Foreign Office bod who was with me said most ministers don’t dare say [that].’
And to prove that he meant it one of his first appointments in Office was Simon Fraser as the new head of the Foreign Office. Fraser had been sacked from his job in the last Conservative Government under John Major for cohabiting with an official of the PLO (which at the time was still officially designated as a terrorist organisation).

There are many current and former members of the Conservative party in parliament and the House of Lords who share the same obsessive 'Zionist conspiracy', anti-Israel world views of their Labour colleagues. In addition to Baroness Warsi, these include people like David Mellor who has a long record of antisemitism cloaked in 'anti-Israel' rhetoric and who recently described Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich as an 'Israel-obsessed Russian' and Chris Patten the anti-Israel campaigner who also happens to be the Chairman of the anti-Israel BBC.  There are also many good old-fashioned antisemite Conservative MPs like Patrick Mercer who was caught on camera describing a female Israeli soldier as a “bloody Jew” in 2013. And there are MPs like Aidan Burley who hosted a Nazi-themed stag party (although as one commenter points below out he is not an antisemite). And then we have the openly antisemitic Islamist Conservative politicians like Gulzabeen Afsal, a Tory council candidate in Derby who wrote in Arabic (about Ed Miliband): “Nah bro! never ever will I drop that low and support the al yahud [Arabic for Jew] lol.”

The LibDem Party
While Labour's Ken Livingstone may be the most well-know main stream antisemitic politician, he is not the most antisemitic. That honour goes to Baroness Jenny Tonge who is so committed to the belief in a world-wide Zionist conspiracy that she is convinced that Israel steals the organs of disaster victims all around the world. She also famously expressed a desire to murder Israeli civilians as a suicide bomber. Yet Tonge is very popular in the LibDem party because her world view is shared by others MPs and most of the Party's grass-roots activists. She is not even the most senior LibDem to demand the destruction of the State of Israel since that is the wish and policy of none other than the Deputy Leader Simon Hughes, and there are few MPs more viciously antisemitic than David Ward, who equates Israel with the Nazis and who tweets about the power of the Jewish Board of Deputies. Not surprising therefore that the LibDems officially promote the campaign to boycott Israel.

The Green Party

While the Green Party attracts support from harmless (but brainless) environmentalists, there is no longer any dispute that antisemitic anti-Zionism is one of the core defining features of Green Party politicians in the UK. Comprehensive evidence of this can be found in this report. The Green Party is represented in Parliament by the MP and fanatical Israel-hater Caroline Lucas. She is not only one of the most active campaigners of the "Israeli apartheid" lie, but she has blamed Israel for most of the world’s problems, including bizarrely the Mumbai terrorist attack of 2008 in which Pakistani Muslims massacred nearly 200 people including the Chabad Rabbi and his wife. Not content with the Party's official and total boycott of Israel, Lucas also supports violent action against Israeli interests in the UK.
A former member of the Green Party has explained in detail the extent to which the Party is  institutionally anti-Semitic. Lucas is certainly not alone. The Greens deputy leader since 2014 is Shahrar Ali who, as can be seen from the report here, is an anti-Israel fanatic and Islamist. The Green Party is closely aligned with the antisemitic Palestine Solidarity Campaign and some of its leading activists (like the insane Deborah Fink) are now standing as Green Party candidates. The Green Party is also increasingly aligned with the antisemitic socialist-Muslim party Respect (see below) - during the 2010 General Election the Green Party stood down in favour of Respect candidates in Birmingham Sparkbrook and Manchester, Blackley and Broughton.

Respect
The Party (led by George Galloway) whose only three objectives are sharia law, socialism, and the destruction of Israel. Galloway's evangelical hatred of Israel is legendary, but he has plenty of competition in the Respect Party for the honour of being the most antisemitic. Yvonne Ridley (Respect's parliamentary candidate in the 2012 Rotherham by-election) said that "any Zionists in the Respect Party ... would be hunted down and kicked out. We have no time for Zionists." Many others in Respect have been less careful in saying "Zionist" when they meant "Jew".  Abul Hussain, a former member of Respect's national council, posted antisemitic comments on Facebook about "chopping off a Jewish person's sidelocks and confiscating their kippah". He also wrote about Jews, "Here's a penny go put it in the bank and [you] just might get a pound after ten years interest!".  Following her appointment as Respect's women's officer in Bradford in October 2012, it emerged that Naz Khan had recently commented on Facebook that "history teachers in our school" were and are "the first to start brainwashing us and our children into thinking the bad guy was Hitler. What have the Jews done good in this world??” Carole Swords, the chairwoman of the Respect Party in Tower Hamlets, was convicted for a public order offence after an assault on a Jewish man in 2011. Inside a Covent Garden Tesco Metro supermarket she had struck him in the face while he was protecting Israeli goods from unlawful damage (a subsequent appeal cleared her of the offence). At one rally she described Zionists as "cockroachs ... bugs [which] need to be stomped out" and at a different rally, Swords had told a Jewish protester to "go back to Russia"

SNP (Scottish Nationalist Party)
This party's attitude to Israel is even worse than the Greens. Its leader Nicola Sturgeon is a fanatical Israel hater who has been happy to share speaking platforms not just with Hamas members and supporters but also with open antisemites. To give a feel for its policies, in 2011 the SNP-led West Dunbartonshire Council banned all Israeli books from its libraries.

All you need to know is that their leader is Leanne Wood who is actually a member and activist in the antisemitic Palestine Solidarity Campaign.

UKIP
In 2014 after every major media outlet in the country spent months trawling through the background and social media activity of every one of the thousands of candidates and also tens of thousands of supporters of UKIP the 'antisemite' they managed to come up with was  Anna-Marie Crampton, a candidate in East Sussex, who apparently posted a blog article claiming that Zionists conspired with the Nazis to kill Jews in the Holocaust  (a viewpoint, incidentally, that is widely shared by leftists including some of the MPs cited above who continually equate Zionism with Nazism; it was also  the main claim of PA President Mohammed Abbas's doctoral thesis).  In fact, if you criticise someone on the left as being antisemitic for making the Zionist-Nazi collaboration claim you will be told that anti-Zionism has nothing to do with antisemitism. In fact, she told the party her account had been hacked and she was not responsible for the posts. Nevertheless, she was suspended from the party pending an investigation. If only the other main stream parties would take the same approach to their genuine and proud antisemites.
My owns views of UKIP, based on attending a meeting with Nigel Farage, are described here.

Follow up on UKIP 'antisemitism' article: the insanity of the "as-a-Jews"

My article yesterday (showing that antisemitism was rampant in all the major political parties so it was hypocritical to single out UKIP) was reposted to a number of facebook sites. Given that the article was highlighting antisemitism across the entire political spectrum, you would have thought it would be welcomed by those people who claim to be fighting racism.

But, unfortunately, it attracted some curious reactions especially from a number of "as-a-Jew" leftist trolls. These people (often brainwashed youngsters)  are very selective in their concerns about
  1. racism - they feel that antisemitism is not as serious as other forms of racism; and
  2. antisemitism - they feel that the antisemitism of a party like UKIP (which they classify as "right wing and racist") is unacceptable but the antisemitism from other parties is either OK or should not be discussed in case it distracts attention away from the "real threat which is UKIP".
And, of course, there was also the "being anti-Zionist is not the same as being antisemitic" argument. The fact that this argument was made is especially hypocritical when you examine the specific accusation of antisemitism against the UKIP candidate Anna Marie-Crampton that was the whole basis for the story. What she had allegedly written was that Zionists conspired with the Nazis during World War 2. This is, of course, a disgustingly antisemitic slur. Yet the claim of Zionist-Nazi collaboration is absolutely standard amongst anti-Zionists all over the world and it is considered completely mainstream, especially among the left (for example, the Guardian Travel writer Gail Simmons made exactly this claim, while other Guardian writers are happy to tweet that Zionism equals Nazism). It was even the main claim of PA President Mohammed Abbas's doctoral thesis. In fact, if you criticise someone on the left as being antisemitic for making the Zionist-Nazi collaboration claim you will be told that anti-Zionism has nothing to do with antisemitism. So, basically:
  • if someone 'on the right' claims that there was a Zionist-Nazi collaboration then they are antisemitic
  • if someone 'on the left' claims that there was a Zionist-Nazi collaboration then they are not antisemitic, but are simple expressing a valid anti-Zionist viewpoint.
Clearly, if Anna Marie-Campton had written her article in the Guardian as a member of the Respect Party then, instead of being the subject of universal vilification, she would have been lauded and guaranteed a regular spot on BBC Question Time for years to come***.

Another type of hypocrisy in the responses was the claim that 'racial slurs about Romanian neighbours' (which UKIP leader Nigel Farage had allegedly made) was somehow uniquely despicable compared with any of the examples of antisemitism that I cited. Notwithstanding the fact that this was irrelevant to my article (which focused only on antisemitism) it was interesting that this was coming from people who also made the 'anti-Zionism is not antisemtitism' claim. So, apparently saying that
people had "a right to feel uncomfortable if a Romanian family moved in next door" (Farage's exact quote)
is uniquely racist, but saying things like
"Israelis are baby-killers" , "Zionists are cockroaches that need to be stomped out", "Israeli Jews should go back home to Russia/Poland/Germany/America" (take your pick as all have been said regularly); "Israelis are Nazis" ; "Israel is a mistake"; "Israel must be destroyed"
(which are all actual statements made by politicians from a range of parties, but mostly on the left) is absolutely OK and has nothing to do with racism or antisemitism.

Finally there was also the "being pro-Zionist means you are a racist" criticism of my article. So an article exposing the oldest form of racism and bigotry gets accused of being 'racist'.  That is the mindset of the left.

***just minutes after writing this Questions Time announced one of its panel on next week's show is none other than Joey Barton - an ignorant football thug turned into political celebrity because of his extreme anti-Israel - and also antisemitic - views

Update: The many concerned 'anti-racists' who were forwarding messages of UKIP 'racists' were curiously not forwarding the far more serious story of the attack on a UKIP Asian candidate Bobby Anwar (by a Muslim calling him a kufar - the Arabic word for 'infidel')  that left him requiring surgery for a broken cheekbone and eye socket. Note, however,  that the main stream media even managed to spin this as a potential UKIP=racist story by a) ignoring that the victim was himself an Asian; and b) putting parenthesised emphasis on the 'claim' by Anwar that the attack was by a 'Muslim' as if to suggest that he was actually being a racist to make such a claim.

The hypocrisy of the attacks on UKIP - look at the real and powerful antisemites in the main stream parties

The disgraceful campaign by the entire main stream media and all major political parties to demonize UKIP as a 'racist' party has now led to Facebook buzzing with messages about an 'antisemitic' UKIP candidate (based incidentally on a report over one year old). Lots of well-meaning Jews are now worriedly passing these messages on imploring people to vote for any 'main stream' party other than UKIP to 'stop these racists winning' in the local and European elections.

In fact, while there may well be a number of racist and even antisemitic candidates among the many thousands being fielded by UKIP, they really do pale into insignificance when compared to the number of antisemites in each of the other 'main stream parties' (by which I mean only those who have at least one member of Parliament - UKIP have NO member of parliament). To show the extent to which antisemitism is rampant in all the main stream parties (and note that I consider anti-Zionism as an example of antisemitism) I have decided to maintain a log of these parties and (as per my log of anti-Israel charities and log of antisemitic footballers) I have awarded a number of Arafats (rather than stars) to each (where 5 Arafats is the worse possible). As you can see UKIP is a long way behind the others in the antisemitism stakes.

The Labour Party
The party that forced its own leader and PM Tony Blair out of office because he supported Israel's right to defend itself against Hezbollah and Hamas terrorists in 2006.
The party whose mayoral candidate was none other than Ken Livingstone the country's best known antisemite, anti-Israel, pro-Jihad politician.
The party represented in the House of Lords by Lord Ahmed who (having being jailed for 12 weeks for dangerous driving when he admitted sending texts before his Jaguar ploughed into a stationary car on the M1, killing its driver) remarked that the prison sentence he received was
"due to pressure that had been placed on the courts by .. Jewish friends who own newspapers and TV channels". He added: "My case became more critical because I went to Gaza to support Palestinians", something that these Jews "opposed".
The party in which over a third of its MPs in Parliament (i.e. with real power unlike UKIP) are committed to the total destruction of Israel and who actively push for a total boycott of Israel to achieve this aim. These MPs include the likes of:
  • Paul Flynn who accused Britain's first Jewish ambassador to Israel of having 'divided loyalties';
  • Martin Linton,  who spoke about the "long tentacles of Israel" reaching into British politics;
  • Gerald Kaufman who stated that "Just as Lord Ashcroft owns most of the Conservative Party, right-wing Jewish millionaires own the rest," and said "Here we are, the Jews again" when pro-Israel MP Louise Ellman rose to speak in the Commons;

This Conservative government has led the EU initiative to boycott Israeli goods from the "occupied territories", sells arms to just about every despotic Arab state yet maintains an arms embargo against Israel. This Government even banned two US human rights activists from entering the country because they were 'too pro-Israel'.  The antics of Baroness Warsi alone have been the subject of several articles on this blog. There are many current and former members of the Conservative party in parliament and the House of Lords who share the same obsessive 'Zionist conspiracy', anti-Israel world view as their Labour colleagues. These include people like David Mellor who has a long record of antisemitism cloaked in 'anti-Israel' rhetoric and who recently described Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich as an 'Israel-obsessed Russian' and Chris Patten the anti-Israel campaigner who also happens to be the Chairman of the anti-Israel BBC.  There are also many good old-fashioned antisemite Conservative MPs like Patrick Mercer who was caught on camera describing a female Israeli soldier as a “bloody Jew” in 2013. And there are MPs like Aidan Burley who hosted a Nazi-themed stag party.

To be added: SNP and Welsh Nationalists
UKIP
After every major media outlet in the country spent months trawling through the background and social media activity of every one of the thousands of candidates and also tens of thousands of supporters of UKIP the 'antisemite' they managed to come up with was  Anna-Marie Crampton, a candidate in East Sussex, who apparently posted a blog article claiming that Zionists conspired with the Nazis to kill Jews in the Holoaust (a viewpoint, incidentally, that is shared by many 'progessive' thinkers including writers for the Guardian and Independent, as well as many of the MPs cited above who continaully equate Zionism with Nazism).

While the above has focused on antisemitism,  at some point in the future I will extend the analysis to other forms of prejudice. Given the disproportionate number of Muslims in the Labour Party and Respect especially, expect the 'star rating' for those parties to increase further as we take account of the sexist, homophobic and Islamist supremacist views of many of those people.

Update: On the reaction to this article.
