The Fogel family massacre eight years on
Eight years ago today Arab terrorists murdered five members of the Fogel family in their home in Itamar, killing the parents, Ehud and Ruth, and three of their children, Yoav, aged 11, Elad, aged 4, and baby Hadas just 3 months. The killers cut off the baby's head. My blog posting from that day appears below.
Few people know about the massacre and even less know about the depraved terrorists who committed it. The massacre was ignored by the entire main stream media outside Israel, except for a couple of ludicrous reports claiming that it might not have been a terrorist attack, with even nonsense like it could have been a 'disgruntled Thai worker'. But the terrorists Hakim and Amjad Awad (who are cousins) were eventually found and convicted. They told the court they were proud to have committed the attack, which was carefully planned. From the day Hakim Awad was arrested the PA rewarded him with a monthly salary of $3,000 a month, four times the average Palestinian civil servant’s salary. Official PA TV invited his mother and aunt to talk on the PA TV program dedicated to honoring and sending greetings to imprisoned terrorists. They referred to Awad and his accomplices as “heroes” and Hakim Awad himself was called “the hero, the legend.” The PA TV host added: “We, for our part, also convey our greetings to them.”
It is also worth noting the depraved reactions of leftists in Israel to the massacre (see end of the report).

Another massacre of Jews that the world will never know about
12 March 2011
I woke up today in Tel Aviv to hear of the appalling terrorist attack that took place in Itamar overnight. A young family of five, including a 3-month old baby, children aged 3 and 11, and both parents were killed by having their throats cut in their own home by two Palestinian terrorists. Pamela Geller has posted pictures here.
scene from the Fogel home
Although the Japanese tsunami is obvously still dominating the news I checked today to find that Sky News and CNN were carrying plenty of other stories from around the world, but a massacre of Jewish children apparently does not count as news. If they had got planning permission to build an extension on their home, then being in 'the West Bank' that would certainly have made the news. If any Arab child was murdered by an Israeli in this way then the Japanese tsunami would immediately have been demoted to second place, while the world lined up to condemn Israel and a generation of writers would have started working on plays to explain why all Jews are ultimately responsible for the act. Even if a guard had shot and killed the terrorists before committing this atrocity Sky News and CNN would have been all over the story posting claims of Israel murdering innocent Palestinian 'farmers'. So what you will never find out is that the attack has been claimed by none other than the Al Aqsa Martyr's brigade who are the 'military wing' of Fatah - Israel's 'peace partners'. Hamas has hailed the attack as 'heroic' and there have been the usual celebrations and fireworks in Palestinian towns. And, perhaps most importantly, the attack is likely the direct result of Israel being forced to drop certain security checks at the insistance of the Americans and British. Remember that the next time you are lectured about the poor Palestinians having to go through Israeli security checks.
Palestinian terrorists have a long history of murdering Jewish children in cold blood. There is no recorded incident in history of an Israeli deliberately killing an Arab child, let alone in an act organised by official representatives. Yet placards calling Israelis 'baby killers' are more common place on UK campusus and high streets than prostitute calling cards in Soho. If the Nazi Holocaust were taking place today then the main stream media and the UN would be citing only the Jewish uprising in the Warsaw ghetto as a crime against humanity - calling it a bloody massacre of innocent Germans.
UPDATE: As if they are trying to self-parody, the main stream media has this morning triggered into life .... to report for example:
- Israel approves settlement increase after family killed (CNN)
- Israel police on alert as settlers react to killings (AFP)
Note the tone of the AFP report. Israeli children massacred - no story (and note also no perpetrators). But claims by Palestinians that Jews threw stones at them - that is headline news.
UPDATE: I am appalled to also report on how depraved leftists in Israel really are. In discussions about the massacre several people here have said they feel little sympathy because the Fogels were 'ultra-orthadox fanatics' or because 'they had it coming to them' for living in Itamar.

More "Palestinian privilege" in today's Daily Express
The notion of "Palestinian privilege" is one I have continually discussed. Another aspect of this privilege is that the main stream media now increasingly censors out any mention of 'Palestinian(s)' when a story relates to them behaving badly. This is, of course, in sharp contrast to the media's obsession of talking about 'Palestinians' if they can link them as being victims in any way.
Typical of this censorship is the double page article commemorating the 30th anniversary of the Lockerbie terrorist attack in Today's Daily Express. The article focuses on Jim Swire's campaign to bring the real culprits to justice. As anybody who has followed the story knows, the Libyan who was convicted was almost certainly a convenient patsy - it was inconvenient at the time to go after the real culprits who are believed to have been the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine General Command (PFLP-GC) and their sponsors - the Iranian government - who hired them to 'retaliate' for the accidental shooting down of an Iranian plane by the US ship Vincennes.
It was partly due to 'Palestinian privilege' that the PFLP-GC were never charged with the crime. But, while the article is actually about the PFLP-GC involvement, the Express has decided - for reasons of 'Palestinian privilege' to censor out any mention of 'Palestinian' from the report. The article refers only to the acronym PFLP-GC without ever stating what it stands for to ensure readers have no idea that it is a Palestinian terrorist group. In fact, most readers would assume it was an Iranian group from the way the story is written:
Swire, like many informed Lockerbie watchers, believes the terror group, the PFLP-GC, the first suspects in the case, were the culprits, and that the bombing was ordered and paid for by Iran. Moreover, whereas everyone else in the story is identified by their nationality, we get only the following reference to the Palestinian terrorist Mohammed Abo Talb**:
Five years ago, he travelled to Sweden to confront Mohammed Abo Talb, a convicted terrorist then recently released from a 20-year sentence in that country, hoping to question him over his suspected role in the bombing. The Express clearly feels that readers must not be told that the terrorist is a Palestinian in case it might dampen their sympathy for the world's ultimate 'victims'.
**Mohammed Abo Talb was a member of two Palestinian terrorist groups although, like many 'Palestinians', he was actually born in Egypt.

Explaining BBC's Gaza story
I think this must be the explanation - just a simple need for some editing to cut the story down to a good headline.

Daily Express: classic combination of antisemitism and ignorance
Look at the photograph and caption that the Daily Express used this morning for its article by Jewish Chronicle Editor Stephen Pollard about antisemitism:
Contrary to what the caption says, the 'Jews' in the photo are the fanatics of Neturei Karta and you can clearly see their anti-Israel placards. But hey - as far as the Express is concerned - 'Jews with beards, payers, and big furry hats who hate Israel' are obviously typical of British Jews concerned about Corbyn's anti-Israel driven antisemitism.
It is also important to note that, since the Mirror group takeover of the Express, the newspaper has adopted the Hamas anti-Israel narrative (see this example) and so is a significant contributor to the anti-Israel driven antisemitism that currently afflicts the UK.
UPDATE: Following complaints the Express have changed the photo now.

Nick Ferrari sustains blood libel against Israel in clumsy attempt at 'even handedness'
21 June 2016 UPDATE: The dead baby story has indeed been confirmed as a scam (as was obvious from the start to anybody who is not a Hamas supporter). The 8-month-old actually died from a fatal blood condition that runs in the family and Hamas paid them 8,000 shekels to make up the story blaming Israel for the death.
Nick Ferrari is the commentator beloved by Britain's 'official Jews' because they claim he is a 'friend of Israel'. Anybody following this blog will know how nonsensical this claim is (see links below; UPDATE 25 MAY: even Hamas now admits the baby's death had nothing to with Israel). Now, several days after the 'baby killed by Israel gas' blood libel was completely debunked he is still pushing the same narrative (and stretching it to to include the nonsense 'seven other children killed'). The fact that this is a clumsy attempt at 'even handedness' - suggesting that the parents should not have taken the children to such a demonstration - does not excuse the fact that he is still promoting the 'Israel kills babies in Gaza' narrative.
Of all the 'official Jews', including, for example, those who invited Ferrari to host the recent Israel 70th celebration event at the Savoy Hotel, is there not one able to inform him of the fact that at least 54 of those 62 claimed to have been killed at the border were members of terrorist organisations and that this includes two who were 16 and 17 (i.e. the 'children killed by Israel')? If Ferrari wanted to be even handed why did he not use his column to inform his readers that the terrorist organisations themselves are the ones who have stated that it was their members who were killed. This would have been extremely helpful given that the main stream media has been careful to keep these claims quiet as it contradicted the lies in their previous reporting.

Daily Express publishes Hamas propaganda and blood libel that Israel gasses babies
![]() |
| Express article: click to expand |
The Daily Express is considered to be a 'conservative' British newspaper and one of the few that is not anti-Israel. In fact it rarely publishes much 'foreign news' in any detail at all, which is why yesterday's unprecedented full page story demonizing Israel with the blood libel that it gassed a baby to death in Gaza is so appalling. It was known the previous day that this baby’s death had nothing to do with Israel (the baby died of a pre-existing condition; UPDATE 25 MAY: even Hamas now admits the baby's death had nothing to with Israel). But this is by no means the only thing shoddy about this most vicious and unbalanced anti-Israel hit piece. Note also the following:
- The Express had not provided a single news item previously about Hamas's ongoing provocations and violence against Israel's border, so its readers will know nothing about the context of what happened on Monday. On the contrary the story presents the lie that this was a spontaneous protest against the opening of the American Embassy in Jerusalem.
- In fact the border - where all of the violence took place - is not even mentioned until paragraph 9. Instead the narrative is that Israel - out of nowhere - started to drop cannisters of lethal tear gas in the middle of Gaza. The fact that many of the 40,000 demonstrators were armed and violently attempting to breach the border - is not mentioned.
- Whereas the Hamas propaganda claims - including the ludicrous story of how the baby came to be in a war zone - are accepted as facts, the Israeli case is presented by claims in sarcastic quotes.
- Especially interesting is the fact that the claims by Ambassador Regev and pro-Israel Colonel Kemp are both taken out of context from the the full statements they made. For example, whereas Kemp made a powerful and convincing argument about why all the blame for any deaths lay with Hamas and that the Israeli army had been meticulous in minimising casualties, the only quotes used by him here imply that force was being used as a deterrent to protesting.
..no one can tell me that the correct response was to fire live ammunition at unarmed Palestinians. It may or may not be coincidental that Pollard is also an Editor of the Express. Although it was always obvious (to people who properly follow what happens in Israel) that most of the casualties would have been armed terrorists and not 'unarmed civilians' as claimed by the media, Hamas spokesman Salah al-Bardawil actually admitted yesterday that 50 of the 62 dead were Hamas operatives (Islamic Jihad had already claimed three of the dead including the much cited '16 year old victim'). On hearing this Pollard has since apologised for his previous tweet. We are still waiting for any kind of apology - or even explanation - from the Express for one of the worst pieces of reporting on Israel ever. A report that is already further encouraging antisemites to attack Jews 'because Israel murders babies'.
Update: I have written to the Express and also submitted a formal complaint to IPSO about the article based on the inaccuracies listed above.
Update 20 May 2018: Now Nick Ferrari sustains the blood libel in the Sunday Express.

Another 'peaceful Palestinian protester' who will be classified as being injured by the Israelis
This video from the Gaza 'protests' has been doing the rounds on Facebook and I don't know who to credit for it. But more importantly it has been common for videos like this - which disprove the 'Palestinian' narrative - to vanish from the web. Anybody wishing to share can simply use the youtube link https://youtu.be/BSTRcwEqtrQ

Censoring 'conservative' and pro-Israel social media accounts
Everybody has known for a long time that 'conservative' and pro-Israel social media accounts have been massively targeted for censorship (e.g. see previous reports of censorship of this blog). The fact that people like Milo Yiannopoulos and Tommy Robinson are banned from twitter (while, terrorist organisations like Hamas are not) is an indication of the extent to which leftists will go to silence the views of any charismatic characters who expose the lies of the standard 'progressive' narrative.
However, the fact that Diamond and Silk - with 1.5 million followers - have been classified as 'unsafe' by Facebook has really brought the issue to attention. Diamond and Silk are brilliant and funny black female commentators - the very sort of people that 'progressives' normally claim need to be empowered. Yet, because they happen to be conservative Trump supporters, the normal 'privilege' afforded by progressives is not only removed, but their voice apparently must be silenced completely. Here is my response to their request for information about experiencing censorship:
Dear Diamond and Silk
My blog, facebook and twitter feeds focus primarily on exposing anti-semitism, but because a lot of this is currently dressed up as 'anti-Zionism' the so-called progressives continually try to silence me even though I only have a small following. That's because anybody who is 'pro-Israel' and who highlights things like Palestinian/Islamic terrorism is considered an enemy and a threat to the progressive agenda. So, for example:
Yours
- Whereas a year ago my blog http://edgar1981.blogspot.com was getting on average 100,000 hits per month it now get about 15,000. This is partly because it has been (incredibly) classified as a 'hate site' (see http://edgar1981.blogspot.co.uk/2017/07/blog-by-parents-of-murdered-israeli.html) meaning many service providers block it completely. Also, despite many key articles, google searches have stopped finding them - resulting in a collapse of traffic from google search (10,000 down to 500).
- On my twitter account@Cant_fool_me I am blocked from sending any links at all; moreover, if anybody tweets a link to one of my blog articles, clicking it results in a warning. Twitter also continually removes 'conservative' followers.
- My Facebook posts (both personal and community pages) only get seen by a handful of friends/followers.

Media falling for the usual Pallywood lies again
You would have thought the main stream media might have learnt something about the Pallywood lies from this week's report of a 'French doctor in Gaza', but they have fallen for it yet again with the outrage over the 'killing' of a 'Press' man. So far the only claims about what happened come from Hamas.
10 April UPDATE: My suspicions proved correct. The 'Press' man was a Hamas Officer flying drones over Israeli positions.

Media reporting on mass Hamas attack on Israel's border
Probably the most dishonest reporting yet, which is saying something
Example: Sky News thinks not enough Israelis have died to justify self-defence:
And, as is usual nowadays, some of the worst reporting is from Israel and the Jerusalem Post (who are displaying more anti-Israel bias in their headlines and focus than even Haaretz - at least Haaretz headlines use the words 'violent protests').

That mental illness problem again.....
So a radical Islamist drives a truck into a bunch of Christmas shoppers in Melbourne saying "it was because of what is being done to Muslims", yet the authorities immediately rule out terrorism and blame mental health, and the media duly censor out the Islamist terrorism angle from the story (see example below). Again. Good thing today's main stream media weren't reporting in 1939.
Here is how the supposedly most conservative British newspaper (the Express) reported it today:
I guess they are simply following the script:

If the response to Pearl Harbour had been the same as that to modern Islamic attacks
On the anniversary of the Pearl Harbour Attack it is worth considering what would have happened if the response would have been the same as that of the response to the 9/11 (and other) Islamist attacks against the West:
- The main stream media would have insisted there was no evidence that the attacking airplanes were Japanese.
- The main stream media would also have claimed each pilot was acting completely independently, and likely had 'mental issues'.
- The US would have declared a 'war against fighter aircraft' with a clear statement that 'this in no way linked to the great nation of Japan which, like Nazi Germany, is a nation of peace'.
- This might have been followed by a few sorties against Japanese fighter aircraft; but, as a token to prove there was no bias against the Japanese people, some British spitfires would also have been attacked.
- To ensure that America did not attack mainland Japan, leftists from all over the world would have gone to Tokyo to form human shields.
- There would have been years of appeasement of Japan and Germany, plus massive funding of 'moderate' Imperial Japanese and Nazi institutions.
- The media would have devoted most of its time on identifying what the US had done to invite the attacks, such as not forcing Britain to leave Singapore to allow the Japanese to invade.
- (Like Israel today) Singapore and Britain would have become the focus of hatred for provoking the Japanese and Nazis by daring to protect their right to exist. The Americans and all the world's free nations would have demanded major and painful concessions from Singapore and Britain to ensure peace with the Japanese and Nazis.
- There would have been widespread theories that it was all a Jewish/Zionist plot to force America into the war (oh actually that really did happen anyway) and that all Jewish personnel in Hawaii had left the evening before the attack.
- There would have been a string of documentaries made about how it was physically impossible for the attack to have happened and, in particular, for a ship like the SS Arizona to be destroyed by Japanese aircraft. These documentaries would have been split evenly between those that claim the attack never actually happened and those claiming the Americans and Zionists had planted bombs to explode the ship.
- By 1945 America would have been a Japanese colony, and to this day Europe would still be under Nazi rule.
- The US would have declared war on all Islamic fundamentalists and would not have stopped until Islam was totally eradicated throughout the world as a supremacist belief.
- The first targets would have been Saudi Arabia and Iran.
- All Muslims in the USA would have been imprisoned and/or kept under surveillance.
- The war would only have finished with a prolonged programme of 'de-Islamification' (the de-Nazification programme for Germany took many years to work even though the people had only been indoctrinated for 10 years. Islamists have been indoctrinating Muslims for 1300 years).
- If the BBC reported 9/11 attacks like it reported attacks on Israel
- If the response to 9/11 had been the same as the response to Pearl Harbour
